Happy Nearly Birthday to Us.......

Its nearly our 1st anniversary! Well kinda. Either way I figured 50 episodes was worthy of celebration!

This week we are recapping on how the first year of the podcast has gone, answering some questions from our listeners (and friends) and discussing whats coming up in the future. We are so happy that people listen to us and hopefully enjoy the show so it was really nice to look back at what we have done over the last year.

As always we also discuss the games we have been playing this week including Pictionary, Codenames, Great Western Trail, Rising Sun, The Mind and Crossing.

To hear more from us please follow us on social media and if you have some spare time a review on iTunes would be very much appreciated.

Also if you are curious about the edited photo of Tom Vassel...

  1. Congratulations!

I think one of the problems with the current Kickstarter setup is that you have to decide whether you want to go all-in and get the extra-shiny bits before you've played the game. I think that comes into game prices too - once you've bought BSG and decided you love it, you can add more expansions, but you don't have to pay all the money as one lump up front.

People said to me "you should go to Essen at least once", so I did… and now I go back every year. But it is horribly expensive (mostly for the hotel bill if you want to be anywhere near the venue), and this year may be the last time I make it.

I've never played Power Grid either… or Dominion. I really ought to. But I do this for fun, and when things are "ought to" it doesn't feel like fun.

There's now a BGG guild for BGIB: https://boardgamegeek.com/guild/3278

    1. Thanks Roger I'll give the guild a shoutout on next weeks episode- I guess I better get better at using BGG!

  2. I have found this article very exciting. Do you have any others on this topic? I am also sending it to my friend to enjoy your writing style. crack vote
